Chris is a strategic thinker with a proven history of building and managing industry leading businesses across Asia Pacific for UBS Investment Bank over 25 years.
Having started his career in Sydney working on both the Financial Futures and ASX Options Trading Floors he moved into proprietary trading and then managed UBS’s Equity Derivative and Trading business, creating the leading business in Australia.
He subsequently moved to Tokyo for a period of 10 years where he managed their Japanese Equity Derivative and Trading portfolio including all Public and Private structured products for corporate, intermediary and retail clients.
Chris later spent 4 years in Hong Kong managing all Equity Derivative Risk for Asia Pacific and was responsible for the growth and development of this number one franchise. He was a member of the management committees for APAC Equities and Global Equity Derivatives as well as the APAC Client Suitability and Reputation committee.
Chris is an expert Risk Manager covering all facets of Market, Regulatory, Operational and Reputational Risk. He is an experienced manager of complex multi-jurisdictional businesses. He has also had extensive experience in culture and process change implementation.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, a Master of Applied Finance and Investments from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
He is a current Board Member of Disabled Wintersport Australia as well as holding the role of Treasurer and Chairman of their Finance and Risk Committee.
